I enjoy the work that comes with being an appraiser. Preparing documents, completing inspections and reporting is fun to me. Being able to manage my own schedule and having the ability to make good money to support my family is important to me as well. I believe that the key to being successful in my profession is to deliver credible results to the customer/homeowner/lender. After all, that’s the whole reason for the appraisal. I put a lot of effort into getting the most similar comps I can and reaching out to my peer appraisers whenever it’s necessary.
