Nita became a certified appraiser in 2000 and began her career conducting property evaluations in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2005 she moved to Southern California where she provided appraisals for eight years. In 2013 she relocated to Phoenix and has been serving that marketplace for the last 10 years.
As a property evaluator veteran of 23 years, Nita still loves what she does, and there are many reasons why.
“I enjoy the combination of being in the field and in the office, meeting homeowners and viewing different homes” says Nita. “I also enjoy analyzing market trends, forming insights, and determining how those trends can create value.”
In the Phoenix Metropolitan Area, one of those trends is the influx of technology companies.
“A new semi-conductor plant is being built which is supposed to be the North American hub for building electronic chips,” says Nita. “And Bill Gates has invested $105 million in Arizona to build a futuristic ‘smart city’”.
Going above and beyond for her clients is a big part of how Nita operates her business.
“It is my business practice to go above and beyond to help every customer, homeowner and lender.”
A recent scenario where Nita exhibited this was when a homeowner really needed an appraisal inspection done but they couldn’t take time off work to meet Nita at their property.
“They asked me to do a very early morning inspection—earlier than I normally even wake up. I did it because I wanted to accommodate the homeowner so they could move forward with the loan process.”
Now is a good time to buy a home in Phoenix with the number of dwellings for sale up 54% over last year.
“There are currently 15,924 listings this year compared to 8,629 listings last year,” says Nita. “And the median sales price in Arizona is down 2.98% to around $484,990 as well.”
