Meeting people from all walks of life is familiar territory for notaries. They should also have a keen eye for details and be passionate about process; as we all know; the devil is in the details.
In my time as a notary, I’ve spent time serving my clients with the utmost professionalism and transparency as I understand that my performance reflects on the lenders’ reputation. The signing process can be overwhelming and confusing for home buyers. That’s why I conduct my due diligence and spend the time needed with all my clients, making sure they fully understand the documents they are signing and answering any questions they may have.
On one occasion, there was a borrower who didn’t have the cashier’s check that I was supposed to send in with the documents. With the banks being closed, I didn’t want to run the risk of missing the closing. I told the borrower that if he could get the cashier’s check on Saturday, I would make an extra trip, come back and ensured all documents would ship on Saturday. That way, he didn’t have to worry about wiring the funds on Monday and missing the closing date.
I love partnering with Solidifi. They are accessible after hours if my clients have any questions and this enhances the personal connection I’m able to make with my clients because I’m able to get answers to their pressing questions at any time, allowing me to be there whenever they need me. Not only does this make the closing process seamless and efficient; it also shows that I care about my client’s well-being.
