Jie began in the appraisal business in 2000.
“My husband was an appraiser and USPAP instructor. We started working together in 2000.”
The partnership continued until 2012 when Jie’s husband passed away from cancer.
“I have continued with the business by myself since that time.”
After over two decades in the profession, Jie still enjoys it the appraisal life.
“Being a certified appraiser for so many years has allowed me to continue a job that I love. Each day I strive to provide the best possible experience to my customers, homeowners and lenders.”
Having a professional approach is something Jie takes great pride in.
“Professionalism is very important to me. It helps ensure that trust, reliability and high standards are maintained in the performance of my appraisal work.”
The Jacksonville marketplace has seen some change but remains stable in Jie’s opinion.
“Over the past 12 months, home prices have been stable at between $290,000-$300,000. Inventory was down approximately 20% in Dec. 2023, to 3,877 homes vs. 4,680 homes in Dec. 2022. However, homes were moving quicker with the average DOM being 49 days vs. 58 days a year ago. The future could get interesting as there are some new residential and commercial developments in north Jacksonville in Duval County and the Yulee area in Nassau County.
