Being a Notary Public/Signing Agent has been a great experience and career for me. I appreciate the flexibility, the unlimited earning potential, meeting wonderful people, and partnering with fantastic title companies. Recently, I was completing a refinance closing for a borrower who was planning on using his loan proceeds as the down payment in a concurrently closing purchase. There was a strict time constraint on when the funds needed to be wired to the escrow account for the purchase closing, and he was very nervous that the title company would not wire the funds from his refinance to a third party. I placed a call to the title company and was able to speak with the appropriate person for authorization of the third-party wire transfer. The customer was relieved and thanked me for taking the extra time to make the call as well as sending me a text later that week that his purchase had closed. It was a great feeling!
The definition of being a professional in my line of work means that I am always courteous, patient, on time and, consider the borrowers requests and concerns first every single time. Maintaining professionalism as a Notary Public/Signing Agent is paramount because I am representing every person who has been involved in the borrowers lending experience. I take my position very seriously and take pride in my partnership with the title companies and lenders.
