Notarizing loan documents means more than just stamping and signing paperwork. It is one of the most important financial transactions an individual, a family or a business will do in their lifetime. There is a lot of excitement about the transaction, but it also comes with great stress and life changing decisions. Every signing is different; the experience and knowledge gained with each signing continue to enrich my personal and professional life.
One of the signings I had to complete was for a family whose father had an accident and was just released from the ICU. With all the COVID-19 restrictions, this was not an easy task. They had purchased a home and the documents were date sensitive. It was a very rewarding experience being able to help them in completing the signing and notarization of their loan documents. They were very grateful, and I will always remember their relief and excitement about the purchase of their first home, even during such difficult times for the family.
In order to be successful as a notary signing agent, it is key to be professional and to build a strong reputation. Being professional implies several personal qualities, attitudes, and behaviors such as commitment and confidence, and dependability, high level of work ethic, honesty and excellence. Dedication, integrity and responsibility are elements of professionalism that make a notary signing agent successful.
