What started as a negative, because of the pandemic, turned into a positive outcome for Jamille McClendon.
“When the pandemic hit, I lost my job,” explains Jamille, “I decided to seek other opportunities with my notary commission and stumbled upon a YouTube video that changed my life. It enabled me to understand and learn about creating my own business by becoming a Loan Signing Agent.”
Jamille became a notary in January 2020. So far, Jamille is pleased with her career change.
“The most absolutely rewarding part of being a professional loan signing agent is knowing that I have the knowledge and expertise to guide my clients through the loan signing process with an altruistic approach.”
In the few short years that Jamille has been a notary, she has already discovered the impact an exceptional customer service experience can make and the impression it can leave on people.
“One time a couple had a toddler in the house during a signing. The youngster was full of energy and was constantly wanting to play with his parents. I pulled out a pop-up children’s book from my briefcase. It kept their toddler intrigued the whole hour I was there. The mother was so happy. Afterward, she told me that she had been through the loan signing process a few times before but she had never seen anyone go the extra mile like I had.”
It was a small act of service but one that made a statement about Jamille and the people she is representing.
“As a professional in this business, it’s important to keep in mind all the components of the process, including being aware that you are a reflection of everyone involved who is servicing the client.”
